Acceptance Policy for Elementary Program
- Preference is given to children who have attended MSE or other Montessori schools for the preschool, extended day or elementary years.
- Preference is given to children whose younger siblings are enrolled at Montessori Children's House.
- Interest by parents in a Montessori education for their child is considered.
- Ability of the child to function within the independent Montessori work environment successfully is considered as well as the child's potential to integrate into the academic and social climate of the classroom. (The child will need to spend a morning visiting an Elementary Class.)
- Acceptance of a new child into the Montessori Elementary Class does not guarantee that his/her siblings who have not attended Montessori School of Evergreen will be accepted into the school.
- MSE admits students of any race, color, national and ethnic origin to all the rights, privileges, programs and activities generally accorded or made available to students at the school. It does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national and ethnic origin in the administration of its educational policies, admissions policies, scholarship and loan programs, and athletic and other school administered programs.
- Handicapped children and those with special needs are accepted at MSE if the director, teacher and parents feel the child's needs can be met within the MSE setting.
Enrollment Procedure for Elementary Program
- Observation of the MSE Elementary Program by the parents.
- A discussion of the program with the school director or an elementary teacher.
- Submittal of the application form and fee.
- Submittal of the child's school records and a recommendation by the child's current teacher.
- The child spends a few hours or a day visiting the Montessori environment and works with an elementary teacher.
- The child will be accepted according to the above guidelines as space allows.

Lower Elementary students have a $100.00 activity/book fee that will be added to the August payment. Upper Elementary students have an activity/book/P.E. fee of $275.00 which will be billed in August.

* Quarterly payments are due August 15, October 30, January 15 and April 1.
** Monthly payments are due on the fifteenth of each month, August 15 - April 15.
Please talk with the director if you would like to make different financial arrangements.
A late charge of $50.00 will be applied to accounts over 30 days past due. A service
fee of 11% per annum will be charged on accounts over 60 days past due.
Bus Service
Bus service will be available from Bergen Park and Troutdale. Requests for bus service should be made at the time of registration.
